The Halogen Music Writing group is a partnership of musically-minded people who meet to share, play and write music for and with each other, with the purpose of glorifying the Lord.

Music has long been a spiritually powerful way for humans to connect with and express praise to God. Where our language falls short of expressing the greatness of God, music helps to bridge the gap between our love for Him and the inability to convey it adequately with words alone.

The only true goal we have as a group is to worship and praise our Creator and Redeemer.  We would love to see this group grow to a point where it could create an income stream for Halogen and its music writers (through an in-house publishing company), and revitalize the Christian music industry.  But whether this happens or not, our one and only goal is to praise God for His goodness.

The group meets every third Monday of the month.  Please email me for more information.

All the Levites who were musicians—Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun and their sons and relatives—stood on the east side of the altar, dressed in fine linen and playing cymbals, harps and lyres. They were accompanied by 120 priests sounding trumpets.  The trumpeters and musicians joined in unison to give praise and thanks to the LORD. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments, the singers raised their voices in praise to the LORD and sang:
"He is good;
his love endures forever."
Then the temple of the LORD was filled with the cloud, and the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the temple of God.

2 Chronicles 5:12-14

Passage of the Week
Who is wise and understanding among you?  Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom...the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.

James 3:13, 17
