I decided to lead a men's ministry after experiencing the transforming power of godly relationships with my brothers in Christ in my spiritual journey.  God created us as relational beings, not as stand alone pillars as some of us would be led to believe.  Even our Lord Jesus Christ surrounded himself with his disciples and looked to them for support in his darkest hour.  In the same way, married or single, if we stand alone then we stand in isolation and that is a recipe for spiritual death.

If you come to Halogen then please come talk to me, but wherever you may be - please get connected. We have monthly meetings, which include discussion, fellowship, and a fun bonding activity.  I especially encourage men to join one our men's small groups as well.

So Joshua fought the Amalekites as Moses had ordered, and Moses, Aaron and Hur went to the top of the hill.  As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. When Moses' hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up—one on one side, one on the other—so that his hands remained steady till sunset. So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with the sword.

Who is wise and understanding among you?  Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom...the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.

James 3:13, 17
